BB-8 is a ball droid who appears in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. BB-8 first appeared in the 2015 film Star Wars: The Force Awakens and returned for its 2017 sequel, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and has since become one of the most popular Star Wars Tattoo themes and joins R2D2 as a popular droid Star Wars tattoo.

In The Force Awakens, BB-8 is a droid belonging to Poe Dameron, an X-wing fighter pilot for the Resistance. BB-8 accompanies Poe and Finn on their adventures after they escape from the First Order’s attack on Jakku.

In The Last Jedi, BB-8 meets up with Rey when she brings Luke Skywalker’s old lightsaber to Ahch-To. After Rey leaves Ahch-To, the Resistance evacuates their base before the First Order attacks it; Finn and Rose Tico help BB-8 to escape during this evacuation, but he is later captured by the First Order. When Finn and Rose infiltrate a First Order ship, they find that BB-8 has been forced to work on that ship as well. They manage to free him and use him to help them escape from Supreme Leader Snoke’s ship.

What Kind of BB8 Tattoo Design Should I Get?

If you’re still struggling to come up with your own BB8 tattoo design, check out these ideas for inspiration:

  1. A black and white drawing of BB8 in profile view.
  2. The same black and white drawing with some text added inside (like “BB-8” or “I Love You”) or outside the outline of the BB8 character (like “May the Force be with you”).
  3. An orange and black drawing of BB8 standing on its base with one arm outstretched as though it’s about to give someone a high five; this image could also include some text like “May the Force be with you!”

What is the Meaning of a BB8 Tattoo?

BB8, the lovable robot from the Star Wars movies, is best known for being a loyal companion to Poe Dameron. He is fiercely protective of his friends and fearless in the face of adversity. The symbol of BB8 is often used by people who want to remind themselves to be more open-minded, compassionate, and brave.

BB8 tattoos are typically very stylized, as they are meant to represent the character himself. It is common to see them colored but they can also be black and white. They often include other elements such as stars or planets because BB8 lives in a galaxy far, far away.

What is the history of BB8?

BB-8, whose formal designation is BB-series astromech droid, was a BB-series astromech droid who operated approximately thirty years after the Battle of Endor. It had a dome head, similar to that of R2 series astromech droids, with the bulk of its body made up of a ball on which the droid’s head rolled.

In addition to being equipped with various tools and sensors, BB-8 also projected a holographic recording of Lor San Tekka.

The droid was owned by Poe Dameron, an X-wing fighter pilot in the Resistance’s Starfighter Corps. On the day before the assault on Starkiller Base, Dameron entrusted BB-8 with the map to Luke Skywalker’s location. The droid fled from the First Order when it attacked Tuanul.
